Beyond was one of the few true “bands” out of Hong Kong. While other canto-pop groups and artists were being manufactured by the commercial beast of the HK industry, they started out as an indy group and did everything themselves without the backing of a major publisher.

Sadly, their lead vocalist and song writer (Wong Ka Kui) died in 1993 by falling off the stage while filming for a Japanese show. He was only 31 years old. The band wasn’t the same without him. This is one of their most popular songs, you will hear it covered a lot in China. Great lyrics and melody. Learn it if you can, because it’s a great KTV song to sing 🙂
